Today was my last first day of college. Hooray!
I just got a message from some chick that is making a zombie movie in December and wants to hire me to do the make-up. As much as I’m totally over doing zombie make-up, I said yes. I’m actually really excited to be working on a short again. It’s been a long time since I’ve done anything for film. I’m totally excited. AND I’m getting paid .. so suck on that!
I have this yearbook meeting thing where we’re all meeting at the state park to have a team building exercise type dealy. Oh God I hope there are human knots and trust falls involved.
I am moving again for like the 10th time since I’ve moved to Illinois. I love moving to new places and having new roommates that have to deal with my craziness. I hate packing though. It just reminds me of how much crap I have. Crap, I apparently need. I think it’s sad when most of my boxes are labeled art stuff, photo stuff and make-up. This year I opted out of living in an apartment. I’ll be living on campus in a dorm room. Most people think I’m gonna go nuts but the dorm has many more pros than cons. I’m living in a private room and I’m on campus so I won’t have to walk a mile to the art building or dining hall. The only things that sorta suck are the strict no alcohol and having boys over rules. But this year I’m going to be insanely busy with having 5 paying jobs and my senior art show to worry about. I’m also trying desperately to get the Art and literary magazine in color this year. I’m keeping my fingers crossed because god forbid art be in color! I’ve also got all of the plays and musicals to worry about as well as year book. Seriously I’m not going to have much of a social calendar this year. But I’ve always been a loner and preferred to be busy and stressed out rather than bored.
Speaking of my senior show I managed to grab a solo show close to the end of the school year which is a very coveted spot to have. So yay for me! It will run April 14-27 and my reception is on the 16th. So mark your calendars if you’re in the area.
I’m back. Everything is good and everyone is healthy. Yay!
