Sunday night felt like a Sex and the City rerun for me. It was the obligatory “girls night out” night. A friend of mine was dumped so she needed one of those nights at the bars where lots of guys pay attention to her because she’s newly single and wearing something slutty. I was there for support and it was an excuse for me to get out of the apartment. Every place we went was crowded. It probably had something to do with no one having to work that next Monday.

The highlight of my night was when I was approached by some guy. We started talking and I mentioned that I was still in school studying photography. His next line was something along the lines of “Oh yeah? I LOVE photography. In fact I just bought the new Nikon Rebel XTI.” I was speechless and was doing everything in my power not to just laugh in his face. I could tell he was genuinely just trying to relate to me and not trying and get into my pants move. Days later I still can’t stop laughing about it.

I need more people to follow on tumblr as well as more people to follow me. I’m starting to feel like that kid in high school who ate his luch all alone.

Today I was paid 25 dollars an hour to judge over 300 photographs. Around 150 of them were some sort of sunset and near 75 after that were pictures of pets. I don’t mean to sound greedy but I was not paid enough. I mean How many times can I write “beautiful colors” or “great job” in a different way. Don’t get me wrong I can be pretty critical when it comes to critiquing in the classroom but I can’t be a heartless bitch to some 12 year old. Needless to say I broke some hearts because not everyone got a medal.
